Security

Six independent defences

Bank branches ran vaults as a sideline. We run one as the entire business, so every layer here exists for one purpose: keeping your box shut to everyone but you.

  1. Grade 10 vault door with reinforced concrete surround at Titus Vaults Shipley

    Grade 10 Vault Door

A certified, multi-tonne vault door with reinforced concrete surround, the same standard trusted by national mints. It is the single hardest barrier in the building, and everything behind it is protected by five more.

  2. CCTV monitoring room with security cameras, screens and alarm equipment

    24/7 Monitoring

Continuous CCTV, intruder alarms and a redundant connection to a manned response centre, day and night. If the primary line drops, the backup carries the signal without a gap in cover.

  3. Two keys opening a safe deposit box with customer and staff locks

    Dual-Key Control

Your box opens only with both your key and ours, in person. No single individual, staff included, can ever access it alone, so there is no version of events in which your property leaves without you.

  4. Client using fingerprint and PIN access controls at the vault entrance

    Biometric Entry

Fingerprint and PIN verification on the vault threshold ensures only registered key-holders pass through. Identity is confirmed at reception first, so the threshold is the second check, not the first.

  5. Vault corridor with security cameras, smoke detection and wall-mounted sensors

    Climate & Hazard Sensors

Seismic, smoke, flood and temperature detection protect against fire, water and forced entry around the clock. Documents and heirlooms are as safe from damp and heat as they are from intruders.

  6. Private viewing room with a client reviewing documents beside safe deposit boxes

    Total Discretion

Private viewing rooms and anonymised records mean what you store, and that you store with us, stays between us. Even a data breach could not connect a name to a box.

Procedure is a security layer too

Hardware alone doesn't make a vault safe, procedure does. Every visit follows the same sequence: identity verification at reception, biometric and PIN checks at the vault threshold, and dual-key opening with a staff member who never sees inside your box. You carry your valuables to a private viewing room, alone.

Records are anonymised, so even a data breach couldn't connect a name to a box. And because we cannot open any box single-handedly, there is no version of events, theft, coercion or error, in which your property leaves without you.

Protection you can point to

The facility carries comprehensive cover, and every client can add independent contents insurance from £25/year per £10,000 of value, with higher limits arranged on request. Compare that with home insurance, which typically caps valuables at a few thousand pounds and often excludes bullion entirely.
