Titus Vaults occupies 37 Otley Road, Shipley, a historic banking house built more than a century ago for the secure handling and storage of money, documents and valuables.
Originally associated with the Bradford Old Bank and later used by Barclays, the building was designed at a time when a bank was expected to be physically secure. Its heavy stone construction, substantial banking hall and basement strong room were all part of that purpose.
For generations, the building served Shipley as a bank.
When Barclays closed the branch in 2021, that use came to an end. The building itself, however, remained remarkably well suited to the purpose for which it had originally been created.
Titus Vaults has given it a new lease of life.
The original strong-room environment now forms the centre of a modern safe-deposit facility, supported by a multi layered security system, controlled access and purpose-built deposit boxes.
The use has changed. The purpose has not.
Private. What you store is known only to you. Our records are anonymised, our viewing rooms are solitary, and we hold no copy of your box key, so we cannot open your box at all.
Independent. We are not a bank. There's no account to open, no credit check, and no head office deciding to close the vault. Your arrangement is with us, on transparent flat-fee terms from £129/year.
Local. We live where you live. Clients reach us in minutes from Shipley, Saltaire and Bradford, and in under half an hour from Leeds, with parking opposite the centre and a team that knows your name (only if you want us to).
